Retiring from his 40-year insurance career with SJV Insurance and its successors, where he specialized in commercial insurance, Peterson's present focus will be on all facets of personal insurance coverage.

BREMEN -- has been named Employee of the Year for 2006 by Community Hospital of Bremen. This recognition of a staff member who exemplifies the organization's culture of family, quality, compassionate care and commitment, began in 1987.

Contreras, who began working for the hospital in November 2004 in the plant operations department, was nominated by his co-workers in late April for his willingness to lend a hand and for being a hard worker.

Arnold joined LRHS with experience in critical care nursing and several leadership roles, including director of medical-surgical unit and ambulatory surgery, and as a performance management analyst.

Her new responsibilities include providing leadership for quality management and customer service efforts, assuring use of evidenced-based practices, reporting to outside agencies, and assuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies.

SOUTH BEND -- , D.D.S., has relocated his practice to 2004 Edison Road. Dr. Glass, who has been practicing dentistry for approximately 10 years and comes from a family of dentists, is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

He has furthered his education through the Dawson Center for Advanced Study, which focuses on comprehensive restorative dental care, and The Hornbrook Group, which focuses on cosmetic dentistry. He has also served as a clinical instructor at the Indiana University South Bend hygiene clinic.

Baten joins 1st Source in an operations and administrative capacity from Johnson, Miller & Co., an accounting firm in New Mexico, where she worked for eight years and was a senior accountant. She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration at the College of the Southwest in 1999.

Matthews worked previously with employee benefits at Acordia of Indiana. With 20 years of experience in banking and insurance, she is responsible for sales and service in small business and individual health products.

Musselman comes to 1st Source from State Farm, where she worked in both South Bend and Mishawaka. With 18 years of experience, she is the new Personal Lines manager, responsible for the Mishawaka, Knox and Goshen locations.

ELKHART -- has received the Retailer of the Year medal from the WineMaker International Amateur Wine Competition judging committee. This is the second year in a row that Lese has received the medal.

Owner and operator of Quality Wine and Ale Supply, a home brew and wine making supply retail store at 108 S. Elkhart Ave., Lese won the medal as a result of his customers receiving more points for their gold, silver and bronze medal-winning wines than any other retailer. The amateur wine competition, held in April in Manchester, Vt., is the largest amateur wine competition in the world.

Of all the entries sent in by Lese's customers, 70 percent of them won medals, including Best of Show Red. Lese has awarded his winners wine kits, gift certificates and percent-off coupons.
