CAMDEN (May 23): Since 1975 the Bayview Street Cinema has been offering a wide range of domestic, foreign, independent and big studio movies to the residents of Camden and the surrounding communities. Throughout the years the doors have rarely been closed, and days without a show have been few and far between. As a result the Bayview Street has become somewhat frayed at the edges and is in need of a little "cosmetic surgery".

Therefore between Friday, May 26 and Thursday, June 8 the Bayview Street will be closed so that the paint brushes and window cleaner can be put to good effect. The theater will re-open Friday, June 9 with "Thank You For Smoking", a hilarious satire of the lobbying industry based on Christopher Buckley's best-selling novel of the same name. Returning movie-goers can expect a revamped and refreshed cinema, featuring a new exhibit on the history of the theater and the building, as well as the same great sound, picture, and low concession prices.
