Daily Record NEWS 6 May 2006 FIT, FAB AND FORTY Cindy Crawford is more superhero than supermodel ... Cindy Crawford is more sup
In fact, the mum-of-two looks just as good as she did when she was in her twenties and it has all been achieved without the help of the surgeon's knife - although the all-American beauty admits she may consider a nip and tuck in the future.
But, while surgery is still a step too far for the supermodel, the stunning 40 year old dose admit to starting on vitamin injections when she was just 29 - a move which led her to develop her own skin care range, which is now all the model uses to keep her skin fresh andwrinkle-free.
Not that Cindy looks like she has to worry about wrinkles, ageing skin and middleaged spread just yet, something she puts down to constantly maintaining her health and fitness over the years rather than natural beauty or good luck.
"I mean I love my life and my career, I am happy and I think I still look pretty good, so I didn't feel like everything was falling apart but the number was still daunting.
And the stunning mum reckons it is difficult to be scared of ageing when you live in LA because there are so many role models around who prove that women can look good no matter what their age.
Cindy still works out regularly, although she admits to not doing so as intensely as she used to, as she now likes to save her energy for playing with her children.
She said: "I am not really interested in being happy as much as I am in being connected. I want to feel that I have a real connection with my husband, my kids, my family and my work.
"I want to enjoy the time I spend with people but it is not like: 'How can I be happy today?' The goal is not to be happy but happiness comes from reaching your goals.
We don't see Cindy doing as much modelling as she used to, but she still keeps herself busy. She does some photo shoots because she knows she'd miss it if she cut it out entirely, but admits she is not really pursuing a modelling career anymore.
She says: "I like going to work because it is like a vacation for me - when I am at home it is a lot harder being a mum than being on a photo shoot.
