Simon Taylor, a parent at the school which he would not name, said: "I'm absolutely horrified. It's a scandal. My daughter is 17 so I suppose she is a prime target for this advert. It is a mirror of the cynical culture that we live in.
"The school is a community for the girls to develop well-rounded, wellbalanced aspirations about their image and future and this advert goes against all that."
BMI Healthcare said last night it had been contacted by the school about advertising. The advert featured the company's Sloane Hospital in Beckenham, Kent, which offers breast enhancement, tummy tucks, liposuction and nose jobs.
BMI said it had not placed adverts in any other school publications. The company owns 49 private hospitals and is owned by the General Healthcare Group.
