SHE fought to save her marriage after a high profile affair, beat the burden of post natal depression and has battled to reignite her waning TV career.

"At the moment we're playing the game of 'let's pretend we don't want one', in the hope we'll suddenly surprise ourselves by getting pregnant. But we've just not been lucky yet - and it's not through lack of trying.

"It's hard. Everywhere you go, people seem to be pregnant. We'd love a younger brother or sister for Woody, especially for later in life when I'm an old woman. That way he can ring them up and say: 'You deal with mum, she's being bonkers!' Because I'm sure I'll be a frightening old mother, telling Woody that no woman is good enough for him."

"But we haven't got that far down the line yet," she says. "I'm only 35 - 36 in November - so we still have a few more years. We're still hoping we will be able to have another baby naturally."

" "I have friends who have really struggled to adopt, so I know it will be tough," she says. "It's frustrating to see Hollywood stars who seem to walk in and pick up a child, while other people are being told things like they're too old to adopt."

The couple, who live in Brighton with their own private beach, have been married for seven years. And despite struggling to have another baby, Zoe says they're the happiest they've ever been.

"Woody has a lot to do with that," she says. "He's such a happy, beautiful child. Mine and Norm's philosophy has always been love. Lots of time and love. What the three of us have together is amazing.

Their idyllic family life suggests the couple have overcome their marriage problems of 2002, when Zoe had a highly-publicised fling with dance DJ Dan Peppe.

"I threw a strop on his birthday this summer. We were on holiday with lots of friends and they're all young and in love. They've only been together a year or so and they kiss all the time.

At the top of Zoe's list would be breast implants. "When I'm leaning over during sex, I look down at them and they're like dog ears," she says.

"My favourite drink is margarita, but it only takes three of them to make me crazy. If we go out, or have friends over, Norm usually has to put me to bed I'm so wasted."

But what's happened to her former TV husband, Jamie Theakston? "Oh, he's been fired," she laughs. "I haven't seen Jamie for ages. So Mark is my new Jamie."
