26 August 2006 SHAZ V CHAZ BEST FOR TV NEW CHAT-SHOW QUEENS PREPARE FOR BATTLE By Antonia Hoyle
Shazza's promising guests from Hollywood A-listers to soap stars - plus lots of help from Ozzy and the family. Meanwhile, Chazza's sending herself up playing "Dame Charlotte" in sketches.
"We're going to make it a high-energy show that hasn't got one minute where you want to turn over," she says. "Hopefully it'll be really quick and really funny."
ROUND 1 - BEST-LOOKING PARTNER: No contest. Shazza's husband Ozzy won our hearts with his trademark cry of "Sharoonnn" but no amount of cosmetic surgery can reverse the ravages wrought by his booze-soaked days in Black Sabbath. And at 57, he's more than twice the age of rival Gavin Henson.
ROUND 2 - BIGGEST MOUTH: A tricky one. In her time as a rock manager Sharon famously kicked a promoter in the groin. As a Celebrity X Factor judge she told Rebecca Loos to "wear knickers" to "warm up" her voice, she's declared a desire to punch Madonna and accused Michael Douglas of having had a "terrible face job".
ROUND 3 - CELEBRITY MATES: Sharon can safely claim to be A-list. Has Elton John and the Beckhams on her Christmas card list and hob-nobs with Simon Cowell.
ROUND 4 - FAMILY FORTUNES: A close call. Sharon rescued Ozzy from drink and drug-fuelled decline but wasn't far behind herself. Son Jack and daughter Kelly have both battled drug addiction. Still, she's a fighter who's survived colon cancer and nursed Ozzy through a near-fatal quad bike crash. More recently they've suffered two serious fires at their home.
ROUND 5 - FACE VALUE: An immaculately groomed rock chick with a sexy new hairdo, she's old enough to be Charlotte's mother but could pass as her sister.
ROUND 6 - BODY TALK:Sharon has spent £120,000 on surgery to transform her looks including a stomach staple, liposuction, a breast and bottom lift. But she admits she still suffers from bulimia and has made herself sick three times a day.
ROUND 8 - CAREER PROSPECTS: Sharon has earned a fortune from artist management and her rock festival Ozzfest. But she's also capitalised on being Mrs O. The X Factor has eight million viewers and promises to be around for a long while yet. She's also guaranteed a run of at least 40 chat-show programmes.
ROUND 10 - DOGGY STYLE: Neither diva seems able to function without a furry friend. Sharon's Pomeranian, Minnie, which debuted on The X Factor, will be allowed on the sofa for her new solo show, too.
ROUND 1 - BEST-LOOKING PARTNER: Despite his orange glow, rugby star Gav, 26, is undeniably eye candy. Plus we doubt Ozzy would sleep on satin pillows to prevent him getting wrinkles. That alone deserves extra points.
ROUND 2 - BIGGEST MOUTH: Charlotte has an opinion on everyone from Pete Doherty (w***er) to Pope Benedict XVI. She's threatened to knock out Cheryl Tweedy, says Big Brother contestants are "pathetic" and of Rachel Stevens: "Is she a singer or an actress? There's nothing special really, is there?" There's luvelee.
ROUND 3 - CELEBRITY MATES: Charlotte eschews showbiz bashes to go out drinking with her mates in Cardiff. She did say of Justin Timberlake a couple of years ago: "We get on well and I know he likes me." But love has yet to blossom there.
ROUND 6 - BODY TALK:She was voted 40th Sexiest Woman In The World by FHM magazine this year but her weight does go up and down - she's now a size 14. She claims she's not bothered but she did recently admit she'd like to be a size eight if she could give up the biscuits.
ROUND 7 - FAME FACTOR:Bless her, most of her exposure of late has come from falling out of nightclubs. But a voice like hers doesn't come along every day so we can't count her out.
ROUND 9 - BANK BALANCE: Charlotte might not choose the high life but she could certainly afford it with the £5.5million trust fund she got access to on her 18th birthday. Compared to Sharon, however, she's a pauper.
